Dance Performances at LBCC

Family and friends of the dancers come to watch them perform what they've been working on throughout the term.

During the modern dance performance, these dancers learn three choreographed pieces from the instructor, Katherine Sanders, then are given the chance to choreograph a piece of their own. (shown above)

Kayla(left), and Ashley(right), seem to dance effortlessly across the studio, appearing incredibly flexible and making this look WAY too easy!

Kelsey Breitmeier, 20, has been taking dance classes at LBCC since last winter. Her favorite class, Intermediate Hip Hop, (shown above) instructed by Katherine Sanders, is "a workout in itself", Breitmeier says, "and i get to dance with my friends and listen to my favorite music at the same time!"

For my photo essay I'll probably cover a local food bank in Lebanon or local church who helps give food to families in need for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Grassy sand dunes in Florence, OR. A break in the clouds comes few and far between in the rainy season, so capturing it is a beautiful thing. Too bad it's always windy!

Katie Bayler, 16, lives on the outskirts of Lebanon. Bayler's favorite fall activity is going for walks at the Waterloo Park and admiring the fall foliage. The graffiti bridge(top right),is a well known place near the Waterloo Park, with ever-changing graffiti pictures throughout the year.  

Week 4 Assignment

Ashley Fujihira is a student at LBCC. She loves to dance and takes Modern and Intermediate Hip Hop classes on the Albany campus. Fujihira, 19, is also a member of the LBCC Dance Club. She is wearing a traditional lava lava, which is worn for hula dance.
